A PARTRIDGE NEAR A PEAR TREE
This painting was one of those where you throw down some paint, pour, brush it, blow with a straw, sprinkle salt on it and then let it dry and look for shapes or some kind of surprise image that pops out. With this one I saw a shape of a bird. I googled birds and it looked like a partridge. I read about partridges because I wondered if they like to perch in pear trees (my being brainwashed as a child), but found out they are a ground bird. Thus, the title of the painting.
This painting is 11”×14” and comes matted (no frame) totaling 16”×20” which fits a standard frame.
