SOUTHERN DRAMA
Southern Drama was inspired by the many Magnolia trees we have here in the south. When they first blossom they are pure white, then as the heat and humidity takes its toll on the flowers, they begin to change colors and eventually turn brown and fall off. It is such a contrast from when they first appear on the trees!.
This piece won first place in watercolor in the 2024 Summerville Artist Guild’s Annual Member’s Show. It has some metallic gold shimmer in the background, with some beautiful colors behind the gold showing through.
